How We Rate online casinos
Our online rating process works to differentiate top online casinos. Find out everything you need to know about how we rate our featured online casinos.
On this page
Every brand on this site is described with the same 11 facts, in the same order, whether the review runs to two thousand words or the brand only appears as a card in a list. That is the whole method. It is deliberately small, because a longer list of criteria would mean inventing checks we do not run.
Where the facts come from
Two places, and nowhere else. Bonus terms, banking, licence and launch year come from the operator’s own published pages — the terms and conditions, the banking page, the licence footer — read on the date shown on the page. State and federal law comes from the statute or the regulator’s own text. When a figure is not published anywhere we can point at, the field stays empty instead of being filled with a plausible number.
The 11 facts
Welcome offer, word for word
The headline offer as the operator publishes it, not our paraphrase of it.
Wagering requirement
How many times the bonus — or bonus plus deposit — has to be staked before a withdrawal is possible. We write which of the two it is.
Minimum deposit
The smallest deposit that still unlocks the offer, which is often higher than the site-wide minimum.
Licence and where it comes from
Curaçao, Anjouan, Panama — named, because the jurisdiction decides what recourse a US player actually has.
US state licence: yes or no
For every brand in the list the answer is no. It sits on the card anyway, because the honest chip is the point.
Banking methods
Which families are accepted — card, crypto, e-wallet, voucher, wire — rather than a logo wall.
How many crypto coins
A count, not a "crypto friendly" badge.
Launch year
When the brand started serving players, which sets how much history there is to check.
How many of 8 US review portals list it
A brand nobody else covers and a brand everybody covers are different risks.
Our score out of 10
One number, derived from the ten facts above, so two cards can be compared without reading both reviews.
Sportsbook alongside the casino
A filter on the list, because a single account for both is a real reason to pick one brand over another.
How the score is built
The score out of ten is arithmetic over the facts above: the size of the offer measured against the wagering needed to clear it, how many banking families are open to a US player, how long the brand has been running, and how many other US review portals list it at all. It is a comparison aid, not a verdict, and it moves when the facts move.
How we are paid
Some of the brands listed here pay us when a reader opens an account. That is the whole business model and it is the reason this site can exist without a paywall. It buys a listing, never a position and never a sentence: the order of a list is the score, and the score is the facts. Brands that pay nothing appear here too.
What we do not do
- We do not play for money on these sites, and we do not test payouts ourselves. Anyone who tells you they deposited at fourteen offshore casinos to time the cashouts is describing a job nobody has.
- We do not contact operators for comment, and no operator sees a review before it is published.
- We do not collect reader ratings or star scores. A five-star average built from votes nobody can audit is decoration, not evidence.
- We do not rank by commission. Some of the brands here pay us when a reader opens an account; the ones that pay best are not the ones at the top, and a brand that pays nothing can still be listed.
- We do not give legal advice. The law pages describe what a statute says and when we read it — what that means for you is between you and a lawyer in your state.
When we are wrong
Terms change without notice and a wagering requirement can move overnight. Every page carries the month it was last checked, so a stale figure is visible rather than hidden. If you find one that is out of date, the fastest fix is to read the operator’s own terms — and they are linked from every review.
